Hand Soap
Many hand soaps contain perfumes, dyes, mineral oil and other petroleum-based chemicals that clog pores, irritate and dry skin. As well, 75% of liquid soap and 30% of bar soaps contain anti-bacterials. Anti-bacterial soaps and cleaners contain chemicals that are toxic to the immune system, skin, gastrointestinal system and/or liver and have no effect on viruses despite all the advertising. 11 In fact, they actually kill beneficial bacteria leaving us more vulnerable to the harmful ones. Children need exposure to germs to develop their immune system.
So by now, we are sure you are getting quite frustrated. Everything you use “stinks” and is loaded with toxic chemicals. Hang in there. We won’t leave you stranded.
